Silence-The Bliss
Silence-The Bliss
I am silence among secrets.
Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita (10.38)
Silence is a source of great strength.
Lao Tzu
Once one of my colleagues was called by his Boss (known for hard hitting remarks and decisions too) to discuss a case and given left and right dressing as told by him, for a note: not as per the expectations of the Boss, but he did not utter even a single word to defend himself, just remained standing straight, attention, his head down, without eye contact with the Boss, arms straight and fingers crossed as usual in obedience, ears wide open listening each said word-a statue like and at the end of the burst Boss asked, “Are you going to retire soon”, he replied, “Day after tomorrow Sir”. Boss then said, “Then go back and send your Supervisor”. He came outside his Boss Chamber relieved, stress and tension free relaxed and happy as it was his last dressing, end of the road and outside the tunnel: replied in silence to the difficult boss remained calm, composed as if enjoyed the talk. He told this story to many friends like me. Really Speech is silver, but Silence is 24 Karat gold.
Get up early in the morning, say a prayer to the Lord within, for you are one of the luckies granted the morning to see (approximately 1 in 8 deaths globally occur during sleep), enjoy your routine, serve a cup of hot thick coffee to your lovely bride with a broad smile as I have been doing for the last 53 years-the noiseless greetings, enjoy your cup of hot coffee in the cozy company, listen YouTube prayers of the Lord, read the News Paper headlines, go for a walk, listen to morning breeze, chirping of the birds, sound of the leaves of green trees, smell the fragrance- morning air brings, take your bath with the “Pears”, enjoy your breakfast yummy, start your car and the day opens up for a bright happy noon and evening: you need not speak till now, your company is silence, achieve what you want: work, strength, target set, satisfaction of having done it and what not: that is the wisdom of ages, sages, research, knowledge and intuition-listening the soul with silence too. Do it, you have the power, capacity, skill and knowledge too to do it and gain what you could not while speaking as nobody listened. Silence speaks louder, if somebody knows how to listen: let them train their ears and eyes that listen first. Observe silence-mouth shut eyes wide open, at least in the morning and gather energy for the day. Be silent as long as you can, it will give you gems of purity, thinking, analysis, response, solutions and wisdom that too stress and tension free.
Try something more: silencing your brain, mind, thinking and reaction: nothing just empty; create a vacuum; difficult but possible; may be for fraction of a second to start with: practice with zeal to do-the soul of excellence: and enhance to a few minutes this wonderful time: you would succeed perhaps after hard practice but success is sure : I feel that is what the meditation is, perhaps slightly more the Samadhi – the ultimate experience Soul longs for: experience and enjoy whatever it gives you: do not analyse just feel: sages say it is the Bliss: happiness of the soul, once experienced will always be with you: positive vibes: clear understanding of your intuition: you would get nearer to white aura that ultimately leads to purity, spiritual enlightenment, absolute clarity, gratitude, wonderful impression on whosoever meets, divine protection always smiling.
Somewhat akin to silence is Calmness-the most powerful thing you can do to your mind and body: not panic: in difficult situations unknown, sudden and emergent: gives time to think, analyse, form positive response, realise other persons’ approach, reach conclusions, keeps one composed respectful and firm too and you become more acceptable. There was a time when King’s and President’s appointees were assessed in their Confidential Report on this parameter narratively now perhaps not. Remain calm always and reap the best harvest win-win situation always.
