Blessings Always

“There is neither this world

nor the world beyond

nor happiness for the one who doubts.”

Was just enjoying Rice Pulao made of one of best fragrant long grain rice, full of vegetables peas, cauliflower, carrot, potato and of course cheese but without onions and garlic, being the day of Sankirtan at the place invited; and curd, there was a knock at the door a little far away, everybody rushed as wait for the honoured guests exceeded normal limits: I too went outside. A group of ladies ten or so with a Youngman having Punjabi Dhol – Big Drum normally for group dances and Bhangra arrived in best of the costumes with the paraphernalia.  We were astonished to see a Dholwala for Sankirtan but everybody maintained calm silence. They organized Darbar perfect Red with Mata Rani, Lord Shiva, Ram Darbar and of course Radha Krishan, Kalash with coconut and mango leaves, Tulsi,  Marigold flowers heap, Dhoop, tying holy red thread and Red Tilak to all present. Jyoti was lighted with the chants of “Jai Mata Di” filling the room thus “Maa” joined the gathering for showering blessings.

It started invoking the blessings of Lord Ganesh, all Gods Goddesses and Mata Rani were invited one by one by beautiful lyrics, sung the befitting voice by Group invited and our own. As it advanced, atmosphere was heavenly, pleasure giving, happy, healthy, ocean of positivity and full of blessings and bliss too, charm was extreme and involvement full, tears of blessings and feelings rolled down many cheeks the beautiful, with eyes shut in devotion, belief and faith merging, with presence of Isht Deva - everybody’s most loved God with claps rhythm full. It was a dip into a ocean of Nectar – Sheer Sagar Lord Himself sitting there to Bless everybody.

Dhol the most colourful tails around, made its presence felt with beats, rhythm, sound, continuity, performance, and volume of course,  as if in the presence of the Lord and Natraj performing in the souls present and dancing, others clapping in order was luring intoxicating.

My youngest sister in law, in her red costumes with sparking white and golden design, resembling that of Mata Rani, with a Big Bindi on the forehead, not keeping good health, remained sitting erect on a armless chair, for three hours plus without discomfort: smile on her face was great, real, healthy, charming and satisfying too, reminded me her young days and is keeping so with the blessing Sankirtan - the moral and courage booster, had invoked and showered on her.

Aarti was absorbing and mesmerizing. Prasad fruit, dry fruit, Halwa in extended lap of shirt or Dupatta, came ample with blessings for success of everything in one’s life and showers of Amrit and flowers.

"Man is made by his belief.

As he believes, so he is."

Lord Krishna
