Life Delicacies - Gifts are a Wonder

Gifts are wonderful, they give joy at least for a few minutes, some forever, an expression of love and affection. With the passage of time the sense behind giving gifts has changed: it has become “give and take”: sometimes a burden you have to bear: at other times simply because you have to be part of the crowd to the celebration, it is also a compulsion when you have to take care of the prestige and social status of others, so called social obligations also impose their compulsions. So people many a times pass on things they do not like to keep at their home and many a times things which they bought for “giving and taking”, passing on previous gifts to someone else even as small things as a “set of glass tumblers”, some even are sharp enough to pass on empty envelope too or be a part of the crowd handing over gifts but himself cleverly not giving anything. Have the courage and conviction to politely but firmly refuse such gifts.

Gifts given at bereavement have their own value and scale. All such gifts with the exception of gifts from a few persons like parents and in-laws are always small suiting the sanctity of the occasion: they are to mark your presence in the times of sorrow and to show your solidarity with the bereaved.

However, when you have to give: give with humility, sincerity, free from guilt and without expectation: make it, you are sharing the happiness of the occasion and you are happy with achievement, otherwise, always have the courage to give best wishes from the core of your heart, words are much more appreciated, choose the words thoughtfully to suit the occasion and the person, sincere words are a prayer to the Lord to take care of the other person: these are listened by the Lord and are always fructified by the Lord.

Best gifts have always been given to everybody by those who are invisible: nature and the Lord. Parents are the permanent well-wishers and source of blessing. Gifts from these sources always remain with the taker and are a source of everlasting joy, peace and bliss.

May everybody is blessed by the Lord, Nature and Parents.

Not every gift must you stretch your hands to take!
Sometimes, just put your hands by your side and humbly and courageously say thank you!
